Paragraph: Rhoda Johnson Winkel was a young child when the Great Depression was in session.She was born in Elsinore, Utah on February 24, 1912. The lifstyle in which she lived in was good. They weren't poor but at the same time the weren't quite rich. but her father had a good living as a farmer, he had about sixty acres. He grew hay and potatoes and beets. Her mother had a garden and used to can vegetables. The salesperson at that time would come from up north and sell peaches, pears, apples and she just bottled those things. Always lots of fruit. Rhoda had three brothers and one sister. Two older brothers, one younger, and then her older sister. They were a happy and close family. Her three brothers have all passed away, and as of this interview her sister is still living in Richfield. As she got older Rhoda became a teacher. She taught forth grade in Elsinore and jounior high in Ritchfield By: Taylor
